We equip students, academic and clinical nurses with the resources to generate evidence-based practice that transforms healthcare and enhances healthcare scholarship, ultimately improving patient outcomes through nursing research.

For the past two years, we have collaborated with Dr. Topp (Bob) to develop protocols that establish the validity and reliability of the Creighton Competency Evaluation Instrument 2.0© (CCEI 2.0). This evidence-based practice tool can be utilized by nurse educators to assess student competency in both traditional and simulated clinical environments. Bob quickly grasped the objectives of our project, assisting us in developing research protocols that further refine and enhance the CCEI©. He provided thorough statistical analysis of our data and coauthored manuscripts that present evidence supporting the use of the CCEI in academic and clinical settings, contributing significantly to healthcare scholarship. We faced challenges with other research and statistical consultants who had limited understanding of nursing or lacked the knowledge of how to effectively apply research and statistical methods to achieve the goals of our nursing research. Working with Bob has been a pleasure; he adheres to timelines, offers insightful feedback, and helps us recognize the commercial value of our instrument.

Dr. Topp's expertise in evidence-based practice helped us design a project that identified the issue of missed appointments as a significant opportunity to improve the health of our clients and increase our revenue. Through further collaboration, we developed a phone app that tracks and enhances our clients' compliance with their therapy, boosts clinic appointments, and contributes to our bottom line. Bob assisted us in publishing the results of these studies, which not only support our marketing efforts for the app to other clinics but also advance healthcare scholarship. I was referred to EHS by a colleague when I sought collaborative support in analyzing and interpreting the data I had collected for my DNP project.
